WRF to Release 2020 Development Strategy to Support Future Growth of UK-Russia Relations

The Board of the Westminster Russia Forum are pleased to announce that in the coming weeks the ‘WRF 2020’ development strategy will be released. After seven years in operation it is useful to take a pause and assess the organisation from top to bottom. To this end the 2020 strategy will be designed to further enhance WRF as the leading exponent of trade, cultural and where possible political ties between the UK and Russia.

The strategy will:

  • Develop a new membership structure
  • Revamp events
  • Set the annual conference as the showcase event of the year for the UK Russia watcher community
  • Promote ties and cooperation with sister organisations in Germany, Switzerland, Russia, France and elsewhere
  • Restructure the Board and streamline all operations
  • Revisit all marketing procedures
  • Boost representation and links with commercial partners
  • Work with opposing organisations to promote full and frank debate

To this end we have already started on a number of point above but will be circulating a strategy document.

The aim of this rebrand and revamp – to promote equitable, neutral and positive ties between the UK and Russia whilst working with international partners. We recognise the negatives in our official ties but we see positive cooperation as a bonus to both our peoples.
